Mr. Ahmed Salama

Ahmed Salama is a seasoned IT executive with over 25 years of international experience. He currently serves as Regional Executive Director at Microsoft, leading teams across MEA Growth Markets to accelerate digital transformation through business solutions, security and data. In this role, he drives national AI initiatives, engages with policymakers on cloud, cybersecurity, and AI regulations, and implements enterprise platforms leveraging Gen and Agentic AI.

Beyond his corporate role, Ahmed is an Adjunct Professor at the American University in Cairo’s Onsi Sawiris School of Business, where he teaches digital transformation, AI applications, and data-driven decision-making to undergraduate and MBA. He is also a Doctor of Business Administration candidate focusing on the intersection of AI, business strategy, and data leadership.

Ahmed previously held senior leadership roles at Microsoft across the Middle East and Africa, with a strong track record in industries such as banking, government, retail, and manufacturing. Before joining Microsoft, he founded and managed an ERP consulting practice.
