Prof. Haneen Shoaib

Consultant of UBT's Chairman of Board of Trustees, Saudi Arabia

Prof. Haneen Mohammad Shoaib in a Professor of Organization Studies and Strategy at the University of Business and Technology, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Starting off with a Bachelor in English Linguistics and Literature she moved on to pursue her Master degree in Business Administration and after teaching for a year she perused a Masters in Science in International Management. Following that, she did her PhD at Exeter University, School of Management. Her PhD research investigated dramaturgical aspects of the enactment of power within strategic interactions in Saudi Arabia, focusing on issues of gender, culture, identity, religion and institutions. Her research interests lie in the area of organizational studies with a focus on ethics, identity, emotions and gender. Investigating issues of power, leadership and culture are very important to her on both academic and personal levels.

Her current position is the Consultant of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, where she works on the development of strategic projects for the University. He previous role was the Dean of the College of Business Administration, where she managed both campuses of the college (males and females) both administratively and academically. Her role was very demanding yet she pushes the boundaries to participate in international conferences and conduct research. Some of her publications are first a coauthored book chapter published in 2015, on researching emotions in the fieldwork. Second, a coauthored research paper on leadership expression on virtual space, which is accepted by EGOS (European Group of Organizational Studies) and was presented in Naples, Italy, July 2016. Third, an authored paper in a Scopus indexed Journal titled “The Saudi Monarchy @KINGSALMAN Leadership on Virtual Space” which is a first in a series of publications. Fourth, various journal papers in the peer reviewed Arab Journal for Administration. Her latest academic participation is within the Russian Presidential Academy in Moscow as a key note speaker as of the 26th of February 2025.

As of June 2014 she became a certified Master Project Manager (MPM) by the American Academy of Project Management, as well as Charted Certified in Talent Management (CCTM) in 2016, by the Global Academy of Finance and Management, an Accredited Small Medium Enterprises Consultant (ASMEC) by the Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants, and trained as a Distinguished Leadership Development Program through the Arab institute for Leadership Development and The French L’Ecole National D’Administration. In May 2019, she became a certified International Communication Professional (CICP) and in May 2020, and a Certified International Negotiations Professional (CINP), as well as a Certified International Change Manager (CICM) in 2022 from the Global Academy of Finance and Management.
